Outreach

No veteran does this alone. Neither do we.

Warrior Homes of Collier was the first organization to build homes for homeless veterans in Collier County, and the only one to focus solely on wraparound services for our local veterans, meeting the whole person and every need that comes with coming home.

We do not do it by ourselves. Ending veteran homelessness in Collier County takes a community, and ours is wide. Eighteen organizations stand alongside us, each bringing something we could not provide on our own, from rapid rehousing, mental health support, senior care, and scholarships. All focused on providing a fair shot at a second chance. Together, this collaboration is how a veteran sleeping in the woods ends up housed within days, with Warrior Homes, the courts, and our neighbors all pulling in the same direction.

When we say no veteran left behind, this coalition is how we mean it.

Veteran Round Table

Collaboration means staying at the table together. Once a year, our Veteran Support Services team joins a roundtable of 18-plus community organizations to take stock of what our veterans are facing, where the gaps are, and how we can keep serving them better. These conversations turn shared commitment into coordinated action, so no veteran falls through the cracks between one organization and the next.

Our Collaborators

We are proud to collaborate with:

Veterans Treatment Court
A voluntary program in Collier County’s Twentieth Judicial Circuit that pairs justice-involved veterans with treatment, accountability, and volunteer veteran mentors instead of incarceration. Because veterans are often best positioned to help other veterans, these mentors offer guidance and friendship throughout the program, which lasts an average of 12 months.

David Lawrence Centers (DLC)
Collier County’s only comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider, caring for our community for more than 55 years. DLC delivers mental health and substance-use services for our local veterans. Their clinicians are essential partners in the recovery of the veterans.

Venture Cares
The community outreach ministry of Venture Church Naples is fighting food insecurity across Southwest Florida. Its Mobile Market, a single-aisle grocery store on wheels, brings quality, nutritious food at no cost directly to neighbors in need, one stop at a time.

SWFL Regional Coalition to End Homelessness
A nonprofit that coordinates high-quality services for people who are hungry, homeless, or at risk of homelessness across Collier and Lee Counties. The coalition brings local organizations together, advocates for lasting solutions, and builds a shared, countywide system of care, including coordinated entry, that no single group could provide alone, helping ensure a veteran in crisis is connected quickly to the right resources.

St. Matthew’s House
A Naples institution fighting hunger, homelessness, and addiction since 1987. From emergency and transitional housing to its community kitchen and the year-long Justin’s Place recovery program, St. Matthew’s House pairs a safe place to stay with the wrap-around support that helps people rebuild.

Collier County
Our county government is a committed collaborator in ending veteran homelessness locally. The County leases our Echo and Foxtrot homes to Warrior Homes and, through its Veteran Services division, helps veterans access the benefits and support they have earned, as well as providing grant funds directly to Veterans for rent.

Gulf Coast Florida Blue Star Mothers #12
Mothers of sons and daughters who are serving or have served in the military, guard, or reserves. This all-volunteer chapter supports active-duty service members, veterans, and military families throughout Lee, Collier, and Hendry Counties, including its work with Wreaths Across America to honor veterans laid to rest.

American Gold Star Mothers SWFL
A chapter of mothers who have lost a son or daughter in service to our country. They keep their children’s memory alive by supporting veterans, service members, and military families across Southwest Florida, from Sarasota to Naples, with Lee and Collier Counties at the heart of their work.

Baker Senior Center
Collier County’s first senior center and one of the nation’s accredited senior centers, providing confidence, connection, and support to people age 60 and older across Collier and southern Lee Counties since 2014. Its credentialed team offers geriatric case management, mental health counseling, dementia respite, caregiver support, and a food pantry, care that helps many of our senior veterans stay connected and age safely in place.

Avow
Collier County’s original nonprofit hospice, caring for our community since 1983. Avow provides compassionate hospice, palliative care, and grief support to patients of all ages, and never turns away a family who cannot pay, so that every veteran can be met with dignity at life’s end.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
The federal agency responsible for the health care, benefits, and earned services our veterans depend on. VA coordination is central to our work, connecting residents to health care, disability compensation, education benefits, and specialized mental health care for conditions like PTSD and traumatic brain injury. The VA also provides HUD-VASH (Housing and Urban Development–VA Supportive Housing) vouchers for some of our residents.

Gulf Coast Veterans & Friends
A Naples nonprofit founded in 2020 by longtime local volunteers who describe their purpose simply: “Embracing Those Who Served.” They keep veterans connected to their community through social events and fellowship, an antidote to the isolation so many veterans face.

JFCS of the Suncoast
Jewish Family & Children’s Service of the Suncoast, a nondenominational agency serving people of all faiths. Guided by the tradition of helping all people, JFCS offers mental health counseling, veteran homelessness prevention, and family and senior services that help vulnerable neighbors reach stability. They are one of two organizations that administer the SSVF Grant (Support Services for Veterans and Families), the VA Grant that helps house homeless veterans.

SVdPNaples
St. Vincent de Paul Naples, a Catholic lay organization serving Collier County since 1964. Through its Naples food pantry, Meals on Wheels deliveries, financial and furniture assistance, and life-skills classes, St. Vincent de Paul meets the everyday needs that keep struggling neighbors, including senior veterans, housed and cared for. They are one of two organizations that administer the SSVF Grant (Support Services for Veterans and Families), the VA Grant that helps house homeless veterans.

Bonita Bay Veterans Council
A Bonita Springs charitable organization formed in 2015 with a single mission: to help local veterans and their families in need. Since its founding, the Council has assisted hundreds of veterans across our region.

Collier County Sheriff’s Office
Our local law enforcement agency, guided by a philosophy of “service to others before self.” Through its Military and Veterans Assistance Program and its partnerships across the county, the Sheriff’s Office helps connect veterans in crisis with the support they need rather than the cycle of jail or the street.

Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR)
The state affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, which certifies sober, peer-supported recovery housing across Florida. FARR’s quality and safety standards help ensure that veterans in recovery have a stable, trustworthy place to heal.

Stronger together

Every veteran we house is the result of this collaboration at work. Each organization on this list helps carry the load, and each makes our community a place where those who served are not forgotten.

If your organization shares our commitment to ending veteran homelessness, we would be honored to collaborate with you. Reach out to us to learn how we can work together.
