Does WHC offer Legacy or Planned Giving options?

Yes, we do! Legacy or Planned Giving is a donation made by an individual through a will or other formal designation, which is meant to reflect the values and desires of the donor. As the name suggests, most donors want to leave a legacy or memory of their life through their posthumous giving. Additionally, WHC also offers posthumous or non-posthumous donation naming rights to our homes and rooms within our homes. To learn more about all of these additional options, please contact your financial advisor or call us directly at (239) 799-2260.

How will Veterans be helped?

By supporting our Warrior Homes program, local Veterans who are in need of housing, and meet admission criteria can secure a safe and healthy place to live in our community.

How are Veterans selected?

Veterans are selected through referrals from local partnerships, including the VA, St. Matthew’s House, Veterans Treatment Court, The David Lawrence Center the Hunger and Homeless Coalition, and The Salvation Army.

Why was there a recent name change from Wounded Warriors of Collier County to Warrior Homes of Collier?

Our new name is a more precise reflection of our mission to provide homes for Veterans. It also clearly identifies our location and future direction as an organization. The change also distinguishes our organization from the national organization, Wounded Warrior Project, of which we have no affiliation with whatsoever.
